Dr. Monsuru Adekunle Salisu

Dr. Monsuru is an internationally recognized expert in halal training and compliance, a committed advocate of halal industry sustainability, and an accomplished academic leader. As Chief Executive Officer of Halal and Agrofood Compliance Certification Services (HACCS), he brings over a decade of combined strategic, scholarly, and technical experience to advancing halal certification, training, and agro-food integrity, particularly in emerging markets.

Dr. Salisu maintains strong professional partnerships with halal authorities, scholars, and industry leaders across Malaysia, the OIC region, and globally. These networks help reinforce HACCS’s commitment to delivering certification services that are both globally aligned and culturally grounded.

He is the editor and author of several influential publications, including Green and Blue Economy Frameworks for Halal Industry Sustainability and Contemporary Discourse of Halal and Islamic Entrepreneurship, published by Springer Nature.

In addition, he has led the development of key halal training modules and certification manuals that serve as technical references for industry professionals. Dr. Salisu has completed rigorous industry training programs such as Best Practicise in Halal Industry-Food and Food Services, Halal Internal Auditing, Halal Lead Auditor Training, , Halal Assurance System (HAS), Halal Mock Recall & Food Handling, HACCP and GMP, with renown training providers like Malaysia Halal Industry Corporation equipping him with robust operational and compliance competencies .

As a sought-after speaker and participant, he has contributed to major global forums including the World Halal Conference, Halal Business Forum, and the International Halal Business Conference, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in the global halal landscape.

Associate Prof. Dr Muinat Olanike Kazeem

Head of Technical Audit & Compliance

Dr. Muinat Olanike Kazeem is an Associate Professor of Food and Industrial Microbiology at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. With over a decade of academic and research experience, she specialises in enzyme biotechnology, nanobioechnology, and food microbiology, bringing innovative solutions to food safety and Halal-compliant bio-industrial processes.

She received her Ph.D in Microbial Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where her research focused on cellulase enzyme production for converting lignocellulosic biomass into fermentable sugars, an emerging field aligned with sustainable and Halal-certified technologies. She also earned a Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan and a Bachelor’s from the University of Ilorin.

Dr. Muinat is deeply committed to advancing Halal science. She has completed certified training in Fundamentals of the Halal Industry, Halal Auditing, and Halal Assurance Systems, reinforcing her expertise in Shariah-compliant food safety and quality assurance.

Currently leading research in enzyme-mediated bioconversion of and fermentation of renewable biomass. Dr. Muinat is passionate about applying science to protect human health, promote ethical standards, and contribute to the global Halal ecosystem.

Dr. Taofeek Muhammed Thani

Head of Islamic Ethical Compliance

Dr. Taofeek Muhammed Thani earned his Bachelor’s in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, a globally renowned institution recognized for producing scholars grounded in authentic Islamic jurisprudence. He also holds a Diploma in Teaching Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers from the Lisanul Arab Centre for Arabic Studies, which enhanced his ability to communicate Islamic teachings across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.

Expanding on this foundation, Dr. Thani pursued further Islamic scholarship at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he completed both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Philosophy of Islamic and Other Civilisations (PIOC). His doctoral research explored the socio-ethical transformation of African religious movements, reflecting a deep engagement with ethical governance, an essential component of halal certification and food integrity.

Dr. Thani has undergone professional training in the fundamentals of the halal industry and the Halal Assurance System (HAS). This combination of Shariah expertise and knowledge of the HAS positions him to make impactful contributions to halal certification, auditing, and food safety practices rooted in Islamic values.

He has held teaching and leadership positions at respected institutions in Malaysia and Nigeria, including Adni Islamic School, IIUM, and the Al-Ansar Centre for Comprehensive Education in Abuja, where he currently serves as Head of School. Dr. Thani’s Islamic scholarship is a vital asset to the halal industry, enabling him to interpret and apply Islamic rulings (fiqh) related to halal and haram matters with scholarly authority and assess the Shariah compliance of food ingredients, processing methods, and supply chains.

Mr Tunde Olawoore

Training & Branding

Mr. Tunde Olawoore is a versatile professional with a background in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and growing expertise in data analysis and brand strategy. He works as a Brand Strategist at Armstrong Paints and is actively involved in public health research. His work combines creativity, communication, and data to support business growth and health awareness.

He holds a BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Ibadan and has remained passionate about public health since graduation. Mr. Olawoore was one of the team members who organized Nigeria’s first Breastfeeding Conference—an experience that deepened his interest in health advocacy and event coordination.

To strengthen his technical skills, Mr. Olawooore completed a data analytics internship with Mentorness(A Reputable Indian Tech Hub), where he learned how to analyze and interpret data to support decision-making in business and public health projects.

At Armstrong Paints, he plays a key role in shaping the company’s brand image and marketing strategies. He also contributes to ongoing research projects in public health, aiming to find practical ways to improve community well-being through data and communication. Mr. Olawoore enjoys working on projects that combine health, technology, and design. He values teamwork, continuous learning, and finding simple solutions to complex problems, especially those related to human nutrition and health.
